Precision Wallcovering & Painting partnered with a longtime client of more than 15 years to complete a comprehensive renovation at Sunrise of La Costa, a senior living community in Carlsbad, California. The project required a thoughtful approach, as all work was performed within an occupied facility where resident comfort, safety, and daily routines remained the highest priority.
Serving as the general contractor, Precision Wallcovering & Painting managed a four-phase renovation that brought together multiple trades, including millwork, flooring, electrical, plumbing, and countertop specialists. Careful planning and coordination allowed the project team to modernize key spaces throughout the community while minimizing disruption to residents and staff.
Project Highlights
The renovation included extensive upgrades across both common areas and memory care spaces. Cabinets were refreshed throughout the bistro, hair salon, activity room, living room, and nurse stations, helping create a brighter and more welcoming environment. The common living room fireplaces were also reconfigured to provide a warmer, more inviting gathering space for residents.
Within the memory care wing, the kitchen, serving stations, and corridors underwent a complete transformation designed to improve both functionality and appearance. Additional improvements included fresh paint on walls, ceilings, doors, trim, and chair rails using premium Sherwin-Williams products. “Dover White” trim was selected to create a clean, timeless look, while carefully chosen wallcoverings added texture and elegance throughout select areas.
The project also included the installation of new carpeting and VCT flooring throughout the facility, enhancing comfort, durability, and safety for residents and staff alike.
